Beliefs

What we believe

We hold to the core beliefs Christians have shared for centuries, across every denomination.

The Apostles’ Creed

We believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth.

We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, who suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried, who rose again on the third day from the dead, who ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father, and who will come again to judge the living and the dead.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

  • The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, authoritative Word of God and the final rule for faith and life.
  • Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.
  • Every believer is called to be part of a local church.
  • Jesus is Lord over all: past, present, and future.
Where churches differ

Bible-believing churches still disagree on some things, like baptism, worship style, and how a church is led. Second Saturday doesn’t take sides on those. We celebrate what we share, and when questions come up we point people to Scripture and to their own church. What holds us together is Jesus (Colossians 1:17).
